Christmas Carols, Speedwatch, Community On-line

Carols by the Christmas tree

The Residents Association organised an evening of carol singing around the Christmas tree at the Rodney Pub on Friday 16th December.

It was a great success with the St. Peter’s singers, community choir, Mark on the mic and Rachel on the flute leading the notes.  Many people from around the village came out especially for our first ‘Carols by the Christmas tree’, so it was a real community spirit for the start of the festive season.   A special thank you to Lesley and Kevin at the Rodney pub for making this happen.

Please get involved and volunteer for Speedwatch with a free training course run by the police on the use of the radar gun.  We need to help monitor the speed in the village so get in touch by email to Sec.

We would like to gauge residents opinion on the idea of having a community laptop to use perhaps for those that are not on the internet already or not very confident with being on-line.   It would be in a public place and with people who can help with questions etc..

All these items have been put on our newsletter for those not on the internet already.  So don’t hold back get involved.
